This is an image for Daniel to see if I can draw men in uniform.

I mostly went for a light and colour experiment. There is little detail in the figures themselves.

This was fun to do :)

I like the silhouette. Works well with the cigarette glow, though I would be tempted to say if you spent more time on it you could grade the brightness a little more so it's stronger towards the light source and more noticeably faint further away from it, rather than the way it feels like it just sort of cuts out. Especially on the thumb of the guy on the left. Also, if it's that strong on the thumb, the light might also catch on the edge of the sleeve facing outwards as well.

good point.

ah, I was going for super darkness, I was asked to sort of go with "barely visible" and really, the only thing he wanted to see was the helmet outlines in the darkness.

Aha straaaange brief. Oh well. It does look great, especially with the horizon to create a focal point, and the smoke at the bottom that sort of fades them out.
